There are many factors advocating a successful future for electromobility, because e-vehicles are considerably more efficient, more environmentally friendly and more economical than vehicles with coventional combustion engines.

While a modern "gasoline guzzler" requires six liters of fuel to drive for 100 km, e-cars require the equivalent of only two liters. A fossil-fuel driven car produces 12 kg CO2 for each 100 km driven, an e-car running on the European electricity mix produces just 3 kg. Were the electricity needed for the e-car to come exclusively from Austria, then a mere 0.5 kg would be produced.
In accordance with the plans of AMP, an Austrian e-car is operated on electricity from purely renewable energy sources - with hydropower electricity or wind power electricity; hence, no more environmental pollutants are discharged during its operation.
